Because I’m more 40- than 30+ you always get some extra tests when you’re pregnant. One of those tests can also tell you the gender of your new addition…
I have never been the person who can handle surprises well (please people, NO surprise parties for me!) so yes, we wanted to know! Because even if I do know gender, the baby, its looks and character and everything else are still a big surprise. It just makes it a little easier to prepare. And with that I mean shop.
So if you’re curious too… It’s a….
My sweet, tough but sensitive boy is over the moon. I was a bit nervous telling him… There will be a big age gap and he knows what he’s getting into of course. Don’t get me wrong, he loves his little sister, but she can be a pain in his butt too. On a daily basis. So when we told him and were waiting for his response, he sat quietly, asked boy or girl and immediately after that “okay, can I go play now?”.
However 20 minutes later he came back downstairs with a big big smile on his face. Finally a boy mama! I wanted a boy ever since I was 5! He can have some of my Lego and I can teach him everything. I hope he does. He will be the perfect big brother, I already know.
And R? She’s just happy there will be diapers, bottles and tiny clothes. But I did have to promise the next one is a girl.
And just like that we are a family of five. Talking about baby brother and all anxious to meet him in Fall.
PS. those perfect shirts are from Selfish Mother and they are not only cute, they are supporting charities involving children with the money they make. What is not to love?
